The 2022 targetjobs Undergraduate of The Year finals took place on 29 April at the East Wintergarden in Canary Wharf, London. This life-changing programme, which runs for nine months each year, helps identify and celebrate some of the most talented students and graduates in the UK.
Nearly 4,000 entries from over 140 universities went through a selection process to find outstanding students in sought after subject areas such as management, software engineering and law. Awards are also given to exceptional students who represent minority groups such as black heritage students, LGBT+ students, neurodiverse talent and young activists.
12 overall winners were announced on the day by comedian and presenter Sue Perkins and all winners received unique prizes including paid internships and time with senior leaders from our supporting organisations.

Simon Rogers, chief customer officer, GTI said:
“Being shortlisted for an Award really is a fantastic achievement for every one of the young people in this room. The entry and shortlisting process is rigorous and is designed to replicate a graduate training programme screening process. Having run Undergraduate of the Year for 13 years, we know these Awards are a stepping stone to great things, and to hugely successful careers; and each year we hope that more students will recognise their potential and be inspired to apply for an Undergraduate of the Year Award.”
