Wednesday, November 2, 2016

GTI, organisers of the TARGETjobs National Graduate Recruitment Awards, is delighted to reveal Lidl UK as the headline partner for the 2017 event, celebrating its 13th year as the largest, most influential graduate and entry-level recruitment awards in Europe.

Held at Mayfair’s Grosvenor House, the TARGETjobs National Graduate Recruitment Awards attracts an audience of well over a thousand recruiters, agencies, universities and professional bodies who gather each year to witness over 30 awards being given to the UK’s top employers, as voted for by a poll of almost 100,000 students.

Winners of the 2016 awards, hosted by Jack Whitehall, included The Army, Barclays, Cancer Research UK, Google, J.P. Morgan, Lidl UK, National Grid and L'Oréal. The climax of the evening was the Graduate Employer of the Year Award, won by Enterprise Rent-a-Car.

On 30 March 2017, all the significant players in the graduate and entry-level recruitment field will gather to recognise the outstanding achievement of organisations and individuals involved in the critical business of ensuring that the UK’s top talent continues to contribute to the success of  industry, business and public services.

Hayley McCourt, head of recruitment at Lidl UK, says:  "At Lidl, our graduate programmes are vital for building a talent pool of exceptional graduates to support our growth and future expansion plans. We offer truly exceptional opportunities for graduates who are looking to grow and develop within a fast paced retail environment as we understand the importance of self-development and learning. We are extremely excited to be partnering with TARGETJobs on the biggest graduate awards in Europe and getting even more involved within a sector which not only excites us but keeps us moving forward as a business.”

Simon Rogers, director at GTI, said: "We are thrilled that Lidl is investing in this partnership. Lidl offers fantastic recruitment schemes for graduates, and it’s great that we can help them spread the word about their early career opportunities, while working alongside such a prestigious, award-winning employer. 2017 will mark the 13th year of the TARGETjobs National Graduate Recruitment Awards – our biggest event to date - and we look forward to working with Lidl to recognise the very best in graduate and entry-level recruitment.
