Are your students ready to jet off?

Do your UK students want to work abroad? Our working abroad advice includes a series of in-depth articles about popular destinations, covering topics such as visas and permits, industries where there could be particular demand for students’ skills and tips on where to find out about vacancies, exchange programmes and volunteering opportunities. For example:
What qualifications do students need to teach English in South Korea, and do they need to get a job before you go?
Find out about shortage occupations in Canada and the programmes that could smooth the path to living and working there.
It can be difficult for non-US citizens to find work in the US, as the job market is competitive and obtaining a visa can be complicated. Our guide to working in the US gives you the lowdown.

If students are interested in working in Asia or working in Europe, we’ve got that covered too.

Keep your eyes peeled for our engineering special

Last month we sent out the first edition of our Engineering Campus News. If you saw it, we hope you found it useful. For those that didn’t see it, the newsletter highlighted a new article on TARGETjobs for your students: Networking for engineers: your questions answered, alongside news about the 2018 Undergraduate of the Year Awards, National Graduate Recruitment Awards and our Future Female Engineers networking events.

We’ll continue to share our latest news and advice with you across the 2018/19 academic year, with three engineering-specific newsletters. Look out for the first one in October! You can also make sure the engineering newsletters land straight in your inbox – just email to subscribe.

Thank you from TARGETjobs events!

We just wanted to say a huge thank you for your involvement with TARGETjobs events this year. This academic year, the team have delivered more than 25 bespoke events and awards with almost 10,000 applications and 2,500 attendees from over 175 higher education institutions. This success would not be possible without the help and support we receive from university careers services and departments, so thank you very much!

We are underway with our first event of the 2018/19 series; City law for ethnic minorities took place earlier this month with some of the top leading City Law firms in London. The rest of the 2018/19 events series will go live in August and we will be in touch with you over the next couple of weeks to discuss how best to promote these opportunities over the summer, but in the meantime please visit for more information.
