GTI, organisers of the TARGETjobs National Graduate Recruitment Awards, is delighted to reveal Lidl UK as the headline partner for the 2017 event, celebrating its 13th year as the largest, most influential graduate and entry-level recruitment awards in Europe.
Held at Mayfair’s Grosvenor House, the TARGETjobs National Graduate Recruitment Awards attracts an audience of well over a thousand recruiters, agencies, universities and professional bodies who gather each year to witness over 30 awards being given to the UK’s top employers, as voted for by a poll of almost 100,000 students.
On the 17 March 2017, Chartered Accountants’ Hall in London will play host to 100 exceptional UK university students as part of ICAEW 100 – a nationwide competition which aims to discover the most promising students with the potential to succeed as the next generation of business leaders.
The students’ journey to this prestigious event commences with a series of online exercises open to all students at UK universities, regardless of year or subject studying. Designed to showcase skills and behaviours crucial to ICAEW Chartered Accountants (e.g. able to make recommendations and decisions that impact on strategy, multi-tasking and prioritising) the 100 highest scoring students will appear on the competition leader board.
TARGETjobs is partnering with global financial services firm, J.P. Morgan to deliver a series of events in London, Glasgow and Nottingham for female undergraduate students interested in pursuing a career in technology.
According to a 2015 report from the UK Commission for Employment and Skills (UKCES), just one quarter (26%) of those working in the digital sector are female – significantly below the UK average of 47% in other sectors.
This September, around 50 students will be invited to Sky’s London HQ to take part in a series of finance career workshops designed to showcase and build on their skills and personality, as well as network with recruitment teams, graduates and senior managers.
But, rather than focusing on students studying for a degree in a finance-related subject, Sky is also looking to attract highly motivated students able to demonstrate a real passion for finance and accountancy through their extra-curricular activities.
